Last updated: June 16, 2026
This policy explains how The Gr0ve handles information connected to thegr0ve.com, public social profiles, newsletter signups, support links, affiliate links, and ordinary messages from readers, collaborators, funders, and builders.
1. Who This Policy Covers
This policy applies to The Gr0ve website at thegr0ve.com and to official public channels that link back to the site, including The Gr0ve Pinterest business profile and other social profiles.
When you leave thegr0ve.com for another service, that service handles information under its own privacy policy. That includes Pinterest, Substack, Stripe, Google, Amazon, Cloudflare, and any external site linked from the library.
2. Information The Gr0ve Collects
Information you choose to provide
You may provide information when you email The Gr0ve, subscribe through a Substack form, support the project through a Stripe link, reply on a social platform, or otherwise contact the operator. This may include your name, email address, message content, payment-support context, or social profile information.
Information collected automatically
The site may collect standard technical information through hosting, analytics, and security tools. This can include page URLs visited, referrer, approximate location, browser, device type, operating system, IP-derived security signals, and timestamps.
Affiliate and outbound-link information
Some kit pages use affiliate links, including Amazon Associates links. If you click an affiliate link, the destination service may know that the visit came from The Gr0ve and may place its own cookies or identifiers.
3. How Information Is Used
- To operate, secure, and improve the website.
- To understand which pages are useful through analytics and aggregate traffic reports.
- To respond to direct messages, collaboration inquiries, corrections, and support questions.
- To send newsletter updates when you subscribe through Substack.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Tools
The Gr0ve uses Google Analytics on parts of the site to understand aggregate site usage. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers according to Google's own policies and settings.
Substack forms, Stripe support links, affiliate links, and external social platforms may also use cookies or identifiers when you interact with them. These tools are operated by their respective providers.
The Gr0ve does not currently use the Pinterest Tag on thegr0ve.com. If The Gr0ve starts using the Pinterest Tag, customer-list uploads, or similar advertising-data tools, this policy will be updated first and any legally required consent process will be put in place before activation.
5. Third-Party Services
The Gr0ve uses or links to third-party services that may process information independently. Current public-site services include:
- Cloudflare Pages for hosting, security, DNS, and delivery.
- Google Analytics for aggregate website analytics.
- Substack for newsletter signup forms and newsletter delivery.
- Stripe for voluntary support and membership payment links.
- Amazon Associates and other affiliate destinations for kit links.
- Pinterest and other social platforms for public profiles, posts, analytics, messages, and referral traffic.
Those services have their own privacy policies, terms, retention practices, and user controls.
6. Pinterest and Social Profiles
The Gr0ve may maintain a Pinterest business profile and other public social profiles. If you visit, follow, save, comment on, message, or otherwise interact with The Gr0ve on Pinterest, Pinterest may process information about that activity under Pinterest's own policies.
The Gr0ve may see public interactions, messages you send, and aggregate analytics provided by Pinterest or other platforms. The Gr0ve uses that information to understand audience interest, respond when appropriate, and improve public publishing.
7. How Information Is Shared
The Gr0ve does not sell personal information for money. Information may be shared with service providers that help operate the site, deliver newsletters, process payments, provide analytics, support affiliate attribution, or secure infrastructure.
Information may also be disclosed if required by law, to protect the site and its users, to respond to lawful requests, or as part of a future business or infrastructure transfer connected to The Gr0ve.
8. Your Choices

Newsletter data is primarily managed by Substack. Payment data is primarily managed by Stripe. Analytics data is managed according to the settings and retention practices of the relevant analytics provider.
