What they do
Climate Interactive develops free simulation tools for climate and energy policy, most notably the En-ROADS climate solutions simulator. En-ROADS models the impact of 18 policy levers (carbon pricing, renewable subsidies, deforestation, transport electrification, etc.) on global temperature, energy mix, and emissions through 2100. The tool has been used in UN climate negotiations and by over 500,000 people worldwide.
Why they matter
En-ROADS makes climate policy tangible. Instead of reading about carbon pricing, you can move the carbon price slider and watch the impact ripple through the energy system, economy, and temperature projections in real-time. This interactive experience builds intuition for how policy levers interact: why no single solution is sufficient, why timing matters, and where the highest-leverage interventions lie. The tool is used in classrooms, boardrooms, and government offices worldwide.
How to support
Use En-ROADS (free at en-roads.climateinteractive.org) for personal exploration, education, or facilitated workshops. Become a trained Climate Ambassador to facilitate En-ROADS workshops. Donations fund tool development and ambassador training.
Key project to explore
The En-ROADS climate solutions simulator lets users adjust 18 policy levers and see real-time impact on global temperature, energy mix, and emissions through 2100, used by 500,000+ people including UN negotiators.
